Children in Need
Once again, Shaw Hill Primary School pupils have donated items for the Harvest Collection. Birmingham City Mission work hard to help people in need by holding food banks throughout the year. We are immensely proud at the amount of food collected and donated by our school community this year and it was much appreciated by Birmingham city Mission.
On Tuesday 13th July, all children came to school in their pyjamas to raise money as well as awareness for The Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust is a charity that was set up in 2006, inspired by a 5 year old child who was diagnosed with cancer and as a result, experienced hair loss due to treatment. The charity provides real human hair wigs to children and young people (up to the age of 24) to boost self-esteem and confidence. Each year, The Little Princess Trust provides around 2000 real hair wigs a year, free of charge to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments and other conditions.
We are thrilled with the support for this charity day and have currently raised over £500!
