On Monday 29th January 2018, the school council visited BBC Mailbox. At the BBC mailbox we went to the Blue Room. In the Blue Room we got to try some of BBC’s technology such as touch screen TVs, smartphones and laptops. We all agreed that was our favourite part. Then we went to Asian Radio: there were microphones, headphones and volume controllers in this area, furthermore we got to try them out. We also went over to the BBC newsroom; there were so many cameras and lights. The guides also told us that the hosts have to write their own script. We also made our own drama radio, with self-made sound effects, it was so much fun. Click on the link below to have a listen.

Cavern Club

On July 10th, our music band club children were invited to perform at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, made famous by the Beatles. The children did Shaw Hill proud with a wonderful, confident performance and they also had the opportunity to enjoy performances by the other schools.
